General collection books and periodicals can be checked out for 4 weeks. No check out of A/V materials, reserve items, technology equipment, or other specially designated collections is available.

All users may have 35 items checked out at any time. Restrictions may apply on reserve or equipment items. Contact the circulation desk for more information (847) 543-2619

Depending on the item, reserve materials (including textbooks) may be checked out for 2 hour, 4 hour, 2 day and 1 week. If material is not returned within the assigned checkout period, fines will accumulate on either a per hour/day basis up to a maximum of $100.00.** Reserve item checkout limited to CLC students, faculty, staff.Please note:Reserve items are not eligible for renewal.

**If reserve items are not returned in a timely manner and the library is required to purchase a replacement copy, students may be responsible for the complete replacement cost of the item.

Please note

• Courtesy notices are emailed three days before the material is due.
• Overdue notices are emailed when your material is past the due date.
• Hold notices are emailed when your material is ready for pickup.
• Most items may be returned or renewed at any library location.

• To checkout material show your Library Card (residents), state issued ID (students/faculty/staff) or CLC ID (students/faculty/staff).
• Reserve and equipment items are not eligible for renewal.
