Study human services100% online in a flexible formatthat works for you andearn your Illinois CADC certification. In-person classes are also available if desired. There are Online Anytime (asynchronous classes) and certain classes with dedicated meeting times. There will also be an internship or practicum component in addition to coursework.

Students are able to earn their CADC by completing the program and passing the state exam.

- Professionals with a CADC and an additional degree or license (e.g., an MSW/LCSW) may further be able to move into administrative roles after several years’ experience, such asclinical directors and agency directors, as well as potentially moving intoprivate practice.

Program Requirements
To get started, students should have a high school diploma (or equivalent).

Upon application to the Addiction Counseling and Treatment (ACT) option, students should have no history of alcohol or other drug abuse, any addiction or other substance use disorders, or should be in recovery without recurrence and out of treatment or correctional supervision for at least 18 months.
