Take full advantage of everything that the College of Lake County has to offer! Get involved in student clubs, organizations, leadership training, athletics, performance groups and more. By becoming active in campus life, you will learn new things, help bring about positive change and make lots of new friends. And research shows that students’ time management skills, overall satisfaction and GPA often improve when they are active in student activities and campus life.
Clubs and Organizations
At CLC, you will find a huge variety of educational, social, cultural and recreational opportunities to choose from, including more than 40 activeclubs and organizations. When you get involved in student activities you’ll acquire the resume-building skills in teamwork and leadership that employers and transfer colleges are looking for. In addition to clubs, you’ll find many opportunities through the Student Government Association (Student Senate),The Chronicle(student newspaper), Lancer Radio, Campus Leaders for Community Service and Phi Theta Kappa (honors society).
Events on campus
Another way to get involved is to attend campus events like our outdoor movies, Valentine’s Day/Death by Chocolate, Mardi Gras and Fall Harvest. You’ll have many events to choose from because nearly every week, there is some cultural, educational, social or recreational event. And learning about them is easy—just look for the posters in the hallways or postings on the CLC website and in the weekly enewsletter sent to students.
Competitive Sports and Fitness
