Massage Therapy

About the Program

The Massage Therapy program offers a 33-credit-hour (712 contact hour), 12-course certificate that will prepare you for a career as a Licensed Massage Therapist working in a variety of settings such as wellness centers, sports clinics, private practice, salons, spas, hospitals, nursing homes and other health or recreational settings. Massage therapy courses are taken concurrently and include lecture, lab and clinical hours. The program will prepare you to take the federal Massage & Bodywork Licensing Exam (MBLEx); success on this exam is a prerequisite forlicensurein most states, including Illinois and Wisconsin.

Careers Opportunities

Massage therapists work in sports clinics, salons, spas, hospitals, private practice, nursing homes, hospices, wellness centers and other health care and recreational settings.
