Secondary Education

About the Program

Secondary Education is an Associate in Arts transfer program, intended for students who wish to transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor’s degree qualifying them to teach in high school. The CLC Secondary Education major includes a concentration of education-focused courses. After transferring from CLC, students must select a major at their transfer institution (e.g., English, math, history, etc.), which is required for Illinois secondary school teacher certification.
